Spring Gruv is here! Park City's biggest party is 16 day festival full of fun, happy folks playing on the slopes, enjoying free concerts, and working on their goggle tans in our beautiful spring weather. Presented by Park City Mountain Resort, this year's 10th annual party looks to be its best yet, and everyone is invited to come celebrate the end of an epic snow year.
Did I mention free concerts? Beginning at 3 p.m., musicians take the stage at the Park City base area and Canyons Village each day of the festival, so you can soak up the sun and gruv to the music no matter which side of the mountain you're on.
Looking for Kids' apres activities too? Everyday from 3-5 p.m. there are all sorts of fun activities, like face painting, magicians, S'mores and more.
The highlight of the festival is always the annual Pond Skimming Contest, when contestants dress up in crazy costumes and attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. It is one of the most entertaining events I've ever seen on a mountain, and I would highly recommend attending! Lots and lots of laughs.
Locals have been attempting the infamous pond skim for 21 years, and each year they find a way to get more creative and funky. The Pond Skim will be held on April 8th this year at the Red Pine Lodge - don't miss it!
